Arknights Endfield launch details

Arknights: Endfield seems to be doing quite well since its release. And that’s not just based on general observationsalthough I can say that most of my core gaming group plays it. Today, Gryphline posted a DEV announcement on the free-to-play RTS ARPG’s website, sharing some in-game numbers with players. No, they didn’t provide actual player numbers. (Does anyone really do that?) Instead, they released a few statistics about the activity in the game, especially the RTS part.

According to the post, players have been quite busy laying power lines, and as of February 1, all players in the game had laid more than 42 million meters of line. Natürlich, we’ve all worked since then, so the number has increased. We just don’t know how much. The post also notes that more than 23 million shared facilities (facilities that are placed in a player’s game instance and can be seen, used, and repaired by other players in their games) have been placed. In particular, one of these facilities carried out more than 4 million repairs. So, yes. The players were engaged and busy.

The post Players have also been informed of an update that will take place tomorrow (Februar 5). The update features a number of optimizations for things like enemy stats, support for early game operator progression, AIC factory control optimizations, map improvements, and more. These improvements are intended to improve the early game and exploration experience. This lowers the enemy levels by ten for exploration levels 6 Und 7, but still leaves the same loot and gives players items needed to craft gear when they reach certain levels. Natürlich, these changes will benefit those who didn’t catch on before the update, but it will still be a boon.

One thing that will benefit everyone is the Designation Selection Permit that players will receive for completing the main mission, Chapter I Process I: Breaking the Siege. This permission is delivered via in-game mail and allows players to select one of the six Star Operators in the Basic Headhunting banner. That would be the Five Sparks. So if, like me, you tried to get a specific character out of this banner and got someone other than that, you can now claim the character you actually want.
