Tomorrow, Smilegate and Amazon Games will release Lost Ark’s January update, bringing new content and numerous optimizations to the MMORPG. Among the things players can expect after the approximately four hour downtime tomorrow is the new raid, Thaemine Extreme. As described in the rather lengthy patch notes (you’ll be scrolling for a while). Thaemine Extreme is an event raid similar to Thaemine Hard Gate 4, but with differences. These changes include the addition of resurrection in the 4:2 Combat Workshop.
In addition to the raid event, the update also launches two other events: Guardian’s Call and Chaos Gate. Guardian Call offers players increased rewards for defeating Guardians, and players will find that it has been tweaked a bit since its last release to help with various progression systems. Chaos Gate introduces a new enemy type that players must defeat to receive special bags with rewards inside. Rewards include Relic Engravings, Astrogems, and Event Coins.
A new collectible will also be available with tomorrow’s update: Nukman’s Illusion Stone. Players must collect the broken pieces of these Illusion Stones to receive rewards. The quest for this mission, “Carrying the Hopes of Yoz,” has a few requirements that players must meet before accepting it, specifically two adventure quests: “The Embassy of the Illusory Bird” Und “In Search of the Legendary Illusion,” as well as the South Rimeria world quest “Combined Duty.”
As for the rest of the update, players can expect new additions to the store and a whole host of balance changes. You can read all of these in Patch notes on the game’s website.
