A little later today – in about three hours at the time of writing – the post-apocalyptic action game Punishing Gray Raven from Kuro Games will be released on Steam. If you’ve never heard of this game, it’s not entirely new. In fact, it launched globally on mobile devices in 2021 and has been available on PC through its own launcher since 2023. This means it is older than Kuro’s other popular free-to-play title, Olas borrascosas.
Sin embargo, it’s not just the Steam launch that’s interesting about the PGR news. The Steam drop coincides with the release of a game-changing patch called Withering Crown. The update introduces the new Breaker class to the game, creating a new tank role that can do more than just stand at the front and take all the hits. This particular tank also focuses on wearing down the enemy so the rest of the team can do some real damage. Apparently this will change the way many players approach the game. Of course, this is a gacha game, so the new class comes in the form of a new character – or in PGR’s terminology: an S-rank dark construct called Rosetta: Arete.
Withering Crown also expands the core gameplay systems, introduces a new save set, launches a new companion story, adds a new boss, y más.
