un nuevo, musically inspired collaboration has begun with World of Warships. And honestly, it’s shockingly appropriate. Today Wargaming announced a collaboration with Swedish heavy metal band Sabaton. Cierto es que, I’m no expert on Swedish heavy metal, but I’m pretty sure we can trust Wargaming’s judgment on this. Especially since the collaboration will include the band’s new single “Yamato,” which is inspired by the Japanese battleship of the same name. Según el comunicado de prensa, this isn’t the group’s first song inspired by warships. A previous single titled “Bismarck” was released in 2019.
In addition to the new song, the collaboration also includes an in-game collection, “The Legend of Sabaton.” This collection is available now and will remain available until April 16th. It includes a Sabaton Commander (the band’s lead singer, Joakim Brodén) as well as themed camouflages and containers. The Commander is sung by Brodén and bassist Pär Sundström.
Available in both standard and premium containers, the Legend of Sabaton collection contains news and facts about the band. Players of the free-to-play war strategy game will even receive rewards for completing the collection, the “Crowned in Smoke and Flame” permanent camouflage for Yamato, five “Metal Flames” permanent camouflages, y más.
