As RuneScape celebrates its 25th anniversary, Jagex is busy planning the next phase in the MMORPG’s life. Today, the developer released a nearly half-hour roadmap for 2026, revealing its plans for the year, including an “integrity roadmap” titled “The Road to Restoration.”
Jagex describes this as the studio’s “commitment to tackling the game’s biggest and most requested quality of life improvements.” The goal is both to keep current players happy and to bring more players forward. The improvement includes UI and visual upgrades, combat improvements, API plugin support, et plus. Players can also look forward to an update to character avatars, including updates to models, animations and styles, as well as the release of the largest area expansion in the game’s history: Havenhythe. There will also be updates to the game’s housing system, giving players more control over their homes. Full details on these and other plans can be found in the video below.
