
I admit it. I somehow forgot that Fortnite isn’t available on the Play Store. No, not because I’m an iPhone user… I’m not. I think it’s honestly because we hadn’t talked about the whole thing in a while. And it looks like a bigger deal was made with its removal from Apple’s store.
If you’re someone who’s been waiting for free-to-play Battle Royale to come back to Android devices – especially since it’s been back on iOS for a while – then your wait is almost over. Last week, Epic announced that the company “has settled down.” [its] Disputes with Google worldwide.” (Thanks to Cirurgia massiva for discovering this.) These include the US, UK and Australia. Como resultado, not only is the game returning, but, as Epic points out, “developers have a choice in how they make payments through Google Play’s payment system and competing payment systems.”
This should make work easier for smaller developers. Claro, I’m sure Fortnite players will be most excited about finally being able to play the game on their Android devices again.
