9 Things Skate. Could Add to Improve the Game in 2026

EA Skate

Skate. It’s had a bit of a bumpy road since releasing in Early Access in September 2025. It’s a hit with some players, but many fans of the previous entries feel it falls short in comparison. No entanto, since the game is only in Early Access, there are a number of changes that could still be made as development continues. With that in mind, here are 9 things Skate could add to improve the game throughout 2026.

Clothing Market / Design your own clothes

Skate clothing

Skate. features a variety of different clothing options that can be purchased by players in various ways. Some are tied to completing challenges, others are earned through loot boxes purchased with earnable in-game currency, and some are only available in the in-game skate shop with real-world currencies. Additionally, there are also occasional event clothing items that can be obtained by spending event currency obtained from completing seasonal challenges.

No entanto, some players are not satisfied with the clothing options currently available in Skate. Others have suggested that they would like to see some kind of marketplace where players can design their own clothing items. These items could then be sold to others for in-game currency, allowing players to make a profit which they could then spend on other clothing that interests them. Alternatively, some fans have also stated that there is a more common and consistent variant of skating. Collaborations could be enough to satisfy them when it comes to cosmetics.

Create your own challenges

Taking clothing customization a step further, players have also felt some frustration with the lack of new challenges in the game. To remedy this, a mode where players can create challenges could be a very interesting move for the developers. Imagine being able to set your own challenges and goals and then share them with your friends and community. A leaderboard system would add a fun sense of competitiveness to challenges among players and provide players with more game customization options.

Individual Parks – Design your own park

Skate locations

Technically, the Custom Parks/Design Your Own Skateparks features have already been somewhat confirmed for the game. No entanto, the developers have stated that this will happen inSeason 3 or beyond,” with no concrete information as to when this addition might arrive. As this is the most anticipated content addition for Skate. In the community, it makes sense that players are currently trying not to get their hopes up. If this feature were instead simply introduced in 2026, many would think that it is a win and notbeyondand expanding further and further without any further updates.

New expansions and areas for skating

Skate tricks

The skate. The map already has four main areas where you can skate in San Van. Each area has its own skate parks and different challenges to explore. No entanto, some players have reported that the town of San Van can feel a bit boring and monotonous after playing for a long time. Claro, certain updates, such as the lighting changes in Season 2, bring some nice little breaths of fresh air into the game, but players want more. Seeing new suburbs or areas added to the San Van map throughout 2026 would be one of the more exciting gameplay changes that could be made, or perhaps if we want to dream big, additional maps with completely different cities to skate through at some point.

Labels/Sprays

Skate season 1

This is a minor addition, but that may mean it’s more realistic than larger concepts on this list. Players love the feeling of customization, so the ability to unlock and collect different graffiti tags or sprays would be a fun little way for players to leave their mark on the city. They could also bring decent rewards for limited-time events and Battle Pass tiers. It would also be interesting to be able to customize sprays or design them yourself, similar to the concept of a clothing marketplace.

More limited-time events with earnable rewards

Skate challenges

Skate. has only launched a small handful of limited-time events, such as its seasonal Halloween and winter events. These allow players to complete event challenges and earn time-limited currencies. These currencies can then be used to purchase special items in a section of the skate. Business. No entanto, these events often have limited or unattractive offerings compared to the premium options that cost San Van Bucks. It would be nice to see more regular, time-limited events, even if they are random themes or celebrations rather than annual, seasonal events. This way, there will be more event challenges and more themed items to win, giving players a reason to get back in the game and complete some challenges.

Spotify link and custom playlist sharing

Trick in skating

There are some absolute insider tips when it comes to skating. In-game playlists. While players are free to listen to these mixes at will, choosing their favorite tracks and shuffling their playlists, some players wish they had more control over the music they listen to while skating. Simply put, not everyone will have the same taste. So why not allow players to listen to their own stuff? Spotify integration would be a nice little feature for Skate., allowing players to import their Spotify playlists to use in-game and potentially even share their own skate mixes with the community.

More ways to earn Tix and unlock Battle Pass rewards

Skate EA

One of the community’s biggest complaints about the game right now is that there are few rewards for seasonal tasks. Tix are the currency used to purchase Battle Passes (“Skate. Pass”) as well as all rewards and tiers within each pass. Unfortunately, they’re also quite tedious to complete, as each set of daily tasks provides a limited amount of Tix. To complete the skate. Each season requires players to spend a fairly consistent amount of time in the game completing daily and weekly challenges. If they made the pass a little less tricky and Tix easier to earn, it would ultimately feel more satisfying to the player.

Better challenge rewards

EA Skate S1

To address the above, while making Tix easier to get would be a step in the right direction, challenge rewards in general could use a little adjustment. Each challenge completed only rewards a handful of Rip Chips, which players then use to unlock loot boxes in the shop. No entanto, the game could either use additional ways to earn Rip Chips or provide more Rip Chips for challenges. Sometimes players just want to run around the city or compete in throwdowns with their friends. If more ways to earn Rip Chips could be added to these features, it would be a positive change for the game. Perhaps players could receive a small amount of Rip Chips when they discover hidden locations for the first time, or additional Rip Chips for placing well in Throwdowns.
