We’ve had a bit of fun on Planarcadia in the last two Honkai: Star Rail updates, but it looks like the Trailblazer and Astral Express crew will have to hold on because things are getting out of control. 幸いなことに, we have some potential help and soon we will have the power of glow sticks. It’s not that strange. Our final weapon was a feather and the one in front of it was a hat. The glow sticks can also become lightsabers, nunchucks or drumsticks. (The latter serves the other Elation characters on your team.)
Speaking of Elation, two new Elation characters will premiere in this update. One of them is completely new, Evanescia. The other is Silver Wolf LV.999, Silver Wolf’s SP character. They will be available in the free-to-play action RPG as separate banner runs, each accompanied by other limited edition 5-star characters. The first run includes The Dahlia, Castorice and Firefly. The second part will feature Tribbie, Sunday and Feixiao. Just in case you need to plan your spending on Stellar Jade.
In other character news, Firefly, Huohuo, 魂, and World are all being boosted with Novaflare. Huohuo was also added to the Stellar Convergence Store along with Robin.
The Trailblazer’s party car and rooms get their own buffs. 具体的には, friends can visit your party car, which now has a scratching post for the Cake Cats. Apparently you can catch Cake Cats on your friends’ trains and encounter them on your own. There’s even a chance of encountering an eon-like cake cat named “Akivimeow.”
さらに, the Relic Chest event is back. This means you can really buff up one of your characters without having to go to any lengths to get the relics. Choose wisely. On the topic of relics, the developers have introduced a preset save feature that allows players to create multiple sets for one character and easily swap them out. This makes team building less complicated. And if you’re not sure what to do, you can now ask Pom-Pom for help.
Since this is also the third anniversary update, there are more events, extras and changes to look forward to. It starts with the “Cosmic Data Roaming” event, where the Trailblazer decides to become a streamer. Unsurprisingly, its content consists mostly of combat, but we’ll see some old friends along the way. By completing the event, players will receive the 4-star “Tomorrow, Together” event light cone.
As a gift, players can expect to receive 20 Star Rail special passes upon daily check-in. This is twice the normal amount. Here too, they can choose a greeting card from a companion that contains 1,600 Stellar Jades and 10 Fuel. There will also be special anniversary editions of Planar Fissure, Realm of the Strange and Garden of Plenty with rewards increased by 300%. Players should also keep an eye out for the annual Trailblaze report, which includes additional Stellar Jades and other items.
