Overwatch has officially revealed the silhouette of the next hero joining the roster of free-to-play team shooters in 2026. This hero, a female DPS character, follows the five new additions Anran, Chat Jetpack, Mizuki, Domina and Emre in the relaunch of Season 1: Reign of Talon and marks the sixth character of the ten mysterious silhouettes to be revealed this year. Following the reveal of this figure, for which a full reveal trailer was released today, fans have continued to discuss theories about the remaining mysterious silhouettes. En gardant cela à l'esprit, let’s take a look at the remaining four character silhouettes and some of the most popular and plausible theories surrounding each of them.
6. Hero Reveal – New DPS: What we know so far
Sierra, the newest hero whose silhouette was recently revealed with full character art, will join the Overwatch roster in Season 2 as Hero 51. She was touted as a DPS character who, according to the game developers, has a “satisfying kill shot.” It appears that she has ties to Helix Security, so it will certainly be interesting to see how her character fits into the plot of Reign of Talon.
Silhouette 1 – The big mecha
The most striking silhouette in the entire image is undoubtedly the giant, robotic-looking figure in the background. There are many possibilities as to where this design could go, but for the most part it is very likely that it will be a tank based on their silhouette and comparison to other tank silhouettes/builds.
An interesting option would be to reveal this mecha or Omnic-like tank as one of D.Va’s MEKA teammates. D.Mon in particular is a popular choice that many fans have wanted to see in the game since the days of Overwatch 1. Cependant, D.Mon’s previous concept art included a large mech with a shield and sword, so this could go either way. There is also the possibility that it is another MEKA member, for example Casino, King or Overlord. Alternativement, it could be an entirely new character from the likes of Null Sector working with Ramattra, or a completely unrelated mecha character belonging to one of the other factions… but that would certainly be far less fun, droite?
Silhouette 2 – Left to Anran
Encore une fois, it looks like a DPS-style silhouette, and many suspect that the character is some sort of sniper. Cependant, I wouldn’t say no to another support sniper joining Ana.
Discussions in the Overwatch community also suggest that while this character has a rather ambiguous silhouette and is not as obvious as the Omnic design on the right, this character could also be an Omnic. This is due to the alleged shards located behind the character and over his shoulder. An omnic sniper would certainly be a fun addition to the game. Enfin, we desperately need more Omnics for the list as we only have Zenyatta, Bastion, Orisa and Ramattra in all these years since release.
An alternative theory suggests that this character could be another member of Wuxing University, where siblings Anran and Wuyang trained before joining Overwatch. Wuxing University has a Metal College, as do Anran Fire College and Wuyang Water College. So there’s a chance we’ll add characters from these other colleges to the list at some point. The real question is: Would it be too early to follow the Ye siblings now?
Silhouette 3 – Right to Mizuki
The horns on this silhouette are a pretty defining feature, suggesting that we’ll either be getting some sort of demonic, horned character, or a character in some sort of demon or oni mask. Because of this, speculation within the Overwatch community regarding this design included a few different concepts. For one, the character could be a Hashimoto member or leader, which could make some very interesting connections to both Mizuki and Kiriko, c'est le moins qu'on puisse dire. Even in this case, there would be potential for some voice lines with Hanzo and Genji, considering their connection to Kiriko and Kanezaka in the lore. Maybe it’s even a new member of the Shimada clan – that could be exciting.
Alternativement, I would really like it if this was another member of Kiriko’s Yokai gang, considering they are all known to wear masks to hide their identities. Cependant, with the recent addition of double agent Mizuki, it can be difficult to get two characters from a smaller faction like the Yokai within the same year, while the likes of Volskaya, the Phreaks, the Deadlong Gang, MEKA and the Junkers, or even the likes of Los Muertos or the Deepsea Raiders could all use some in-game representation.
Silhouette 4 – Behind Sierra and in front of Domina
Enfin et surtout, we have the mysterious Omnic silhouette on the right side of the page, which has quickly become one of the most popular mystery designs on the concept art. À première vue, it’s pretty obvious that the figure is both an omnic (thanks to all those eyes!) and a detective due to the classic hat and trench coat. This is already a very cool concept for the game, but it’s even more fun to think about what role this character could play and where in world history/story he will end up.
My main guess is that this character will be a support hero. Bien sûr, we had some nice (and somewhat problematic) additions with Mizuki and Jetpack Cat, but the support roster is still the smallest in the game, so it would be nice to have more options on this page for a specific role or team composition. Our mysterious omnic guy also seems to have a stick or staff in his hand, which I think could work well as a primary weapon/healing staff. Honnêtement, I just want him to be able to hit people in the head with it as a melee, similar to Gambit’s melee from Marvel Rivals.
Given his place in the lore, there are many ways this can happen. Assuming that every character silhouette on this page has at least one link to an existing character, the Detective Omnic could perhaps be a friend of Zenyatta’s who keeps an eye on the Null Sector and Ramattra, or some sort of private detective investigating Talon and Maximilien’s involvement with Talon. But who says the Omnic character can only be associated with other Omnics? Tracer has been shown to have many Omnic friends, some of whom have made mission appearances, such as Iggy. This could be a shared connection or an investigator working with Overwatch. Perhaps to either get to the bottom of the mystery surrounding Doomfist’s disappearance, or even to discuss the potential mission that Soldier: 76 and Sombra are apparently teaming up for, based on recent voices. This guy’s possibilities are literally endless, making him one of the most exciting revelations of the future.
