A new update is available in Delta Force. Team Jade released the patch in the free-to-play shooter yesterday and introduced a new support operator named Lina Van der Meer (Codename: Vlinder). Vlinder is a useful person on the team, as her presence alone increases the downtime and death times of her teammates. Using her butterfly drones and special contact lenses, she is also able to track the HP status of her allies. Speaking of butterflies, their “Flutter Rescue UAVs” can be used to administer plasma injections to allies within 55 meters of their location. Some drones track squadmates and heal them with medical dust. As for her attack abilities, she also uses a smoke grenade controlled by a gesture locator.
The update also introduced the Aftershock Urban Warfare map, which features extensive destruction, multiple new modes, an Operations expansion with a new boss, and player-requested improvements. As for operations expansions, Space City features new areas and introduces swimming mechanics. The new operations chief is efficiency director Alonso Hudson, a member of Haavk’s radical faction.
As for the new modes, Flashpoint features an ever-changing battlefield and Fire Owl Hunting in Operations lets players take on the role of boss Saeed and his guards. A complete overview of these modes can be found on the Delta Force websitealong with a list of changes and additions too numerous to list here.
