20th DDO anniversary

Dungeons & Dragons Online is celebrating its 20th anniversary, or as they call it, the “Natural 20” anniversary. Aside from the usual extras and general activities that are usually associated with an MMORPG’s anniversary, the DDO team is doing a few special things.

First, they complete a special 20th anniversary quest called “Time fliesThis quest can be picked up from the NPC Sariyon Dran-dal on Anniversary Island, which can be accessed by speaking to Fred in House Jorasco or House Phiarlan. As you can guess from the quest title, it plays with time a bit. Things have gotten a little wonky, and it’s up to players to fix the problem. Therefore, each time players enter the dungeon they will randomly receive one of seven different possible encounters.

The good news is that players will want to complete the run more than once as completing the dungeon will give them time fragments. The number of time fragments depends on the party member’s highest level as well as the difficulty of the dungeon being attempted. The higher the difficulty and the lower the membership level, the more fragments players will receive.

Players can exchange these fragments for rewards at the Timeline Fragment Exchange Station on Anniversary Island.

In addition to the new quest, the celebration also includes a new “Anniversary Dungeon”. This is different from the 10th Anniversary Dungeon. Although this one will also be available to run.

Finally, an Anniversary Party Challenge event is also available. When participating in this event, players can choose a difficulty level between levels 1 and 39. By completing the event, players will receive stars, which they can then exchange for special rewards.
