In just over a week, on March 31st, Apex Legends will launch the Aftershock event. As you may have guessed from the title, the event will be electrifying in many ways. The free-to-play shooter Wildcard will offer some powerful new features. All Legends will be equipped with a vortex shield that intercepts incoming bullets and the ability to deal as much damage as possible with an EMP blast. The trick in both cases is to remember that both functions rely on battery power and those batteries can become drained.

To keep the Vortex Shield’s battery charged – and keep the shield in place – players must collect EVO. As for the EMP, collecting EVO works, but players can also charge it up by blocking damage with the Vortex Shield or using the Wild Cards. Nine new electrically themed wild cards are available to players.

Of course, by participating in the event, players will receive new rewards. This includes new Legend skins for Wattson, Ash, Pathfinder, Horizon, Crypto and Gibraltar. New weapon skins are also available. An overview of the event and the rewards can be found on the Apex Legends website.
