If you’re familiar with the Honor of Kings IP, you probably already know that Tencent has a new multiplayer game in the works. Just a few days ago, the company opened registrations for players interested in participating in the alpha test of Honor of Kings: 世界, a game they apparently describe as a multiplayer role-playing game.

I discovered this when I was looking for information about the game’s monetization when I came across a video from Just Memplex, who begins by explaining that the game is not an MMORPG, but that it does have MMO elements. Players can work and play together. According to the video, they can even complete the game’s MSQ together and receive credit for each. The game also includes PvE, PvP, raids and even housing. He basically describes the game as “Where Winds Meet,” only improved.

As far as the monetization of the game is concerned, it is free to play. If you do decide to spend money, most of it will apparently go towards cosmetics, either directly or through the Battle Pass. しかし, many of them can be purchased using in-game currency.
