Today NC America announced the next Aion update: Dread Blade. The highlight of this update is a new class with the same name. The Dread Blade class is the free-to-play MMORPG’s first true hybrid class, allowing players to use magic and weapons in combat. The class inflicts status effects on enemies through physical attacks, can remove its own debuffs, and is capable of restoring status with magic. It also has AoE abilities that allow the class to control what happens on the field. Another ability allows the Dreadblade to quickly move to enemies with lower health to destroy them.
In addition to the new class, the Dread Blade update introduces four new dungeons and two improvements. The update also includes special gifts for players, the Dread Blade Starter Coupon and the Dread Blade Update Gift. These items are available now through May 26th.
