As the Edgerunners event comes to a close in Wuthering Waves, it looks like it’s Apex Legends’ turn to spend some time in a neon dystopia. Heute, EA and Respawn have released the Apex Legends This probably means that Apex Legends should brace itself for an influx of new players who happen to be fans of CD Projeckt Red’s Cyberpunk series and the Edgerunners anime in particular.

Although Edgerunners isn’t directly mentioned in the press release, it’s pretty obvious that players will see characters from the series – at least in the form of skins. Tatsächlich, the event will introduce eight new cyberpunk skins, a different one for each of the following legends: Achse, Sparrow, Lifeline, Crypto, Rampart, Loba, Ash and Gibraltar. There will also be eight weapon skins.

As for gameplay, two cyberware mods are introduced, Sandevistan and Blackwall Breach. The former, as expected, provides a speed boost and allows sprints in any direction. The latter allows players to bring players to the net and release an EMP upon their return.

As mentioned in the title, this event is about cyberpsychosis. When players use one of these mods, they fill their cyberware capacity. Once it gets too crowded, they become Cyberpsycho, increasing their movement speed and melee damage. The downside is that they have no weapons, abilities or shields. So they will be dangerous but out of control. Players can try to keep everything under control or use syringes or immune blocker caches around the map to reverse the problem.

The Apex Legends X Cyberpunk event arrives on all platforms on July 14th.
