Starting April 16, players of The First Descendant will be able to beta test the free-to-play shooter’s upcoming “Onslaught Mode.” This new mode is a defense mission in which players must stop the Vulgus from reaching an objective. If too many monsters overcome their defenses, the mission will fail. The good news is that the more monsters players eliminate, the more money they earn to build and upgrade towers, making it easier to solidify their defenses. En plus, at the end of different waves, players will receive skill options to level up.
Onslaught mode is designed so that players have to play in three zones, each of which has its own peculiarities. In the end, the players have to fight against a “colossus”.
Testing of the mode lasts until April 29th. During this time there will be a parallel survey event that ends on April 28th. Complete the survey and earn in-game rewards, including Crystallization Catalysts.
The beta test is part of a larger update. So players can also expect balances and improvements. Balance updates for Viessa and Harris as well as weapon balancing are all part of what’s coming.
