Today Jagex hosted the Old School RuneScape Summer Campfire stream and shared plans for the game for the rest of the year, including the Grandmaster Quest releasing on June 30th. We know that OSRS is not free to play. But the other games in the IP are. And since Runefest 2026 and the IP’s 25th anniversary have already been talked about, here we are.
Since it is an anniversary celebration, the Runefest will be bigger this year. There will be two permanent Grand Stages. Both will be live throughout the duration of the festival with panels of all kinds. New skill chips will be available during the festival. Officially there will be eight of them, but there is also a secret ninth that players will have to figure out to obtain.
A new quest feature will also be added to the celebrations. By participating, players receive quest points. These points go to a leaderboard and successful players can win prizes. In addition to some familiar ones, players can also look forward to new immersive zones.
Bien sûr, all the fan favorites will be there. These include the goodie bag filled with exclusive items, an expanded LAN area, the campfire zone and more. If you haven’t received your tickets yet, you can purchase them at Runefest site.
