The next Wuthering Waves update, version 3.3 “Reverbs From the End of Galaxies,” is two weeks away. Ce matin, the development team hosted the release’s special program and explained in detail what players can expect in the 2nd anniversary update of the free open-world game.

The update continues the story of Lahai-Roi, picking up where we left off after dealing with the problems of the Dark Side and the machinations of the Fractsidus. Bien sûr, we know that she and her overseer aren’t done yet, et (at least the players) know that these plans somehow have to do with the Star Orch student Denia, who seems to have some connection to the Threnodian Aleph-1. We also know that Lahai-Roi has a Guardian in the Wish-Granting Miko, Hiyuki, who carries a fragment of a Guardian’s power within him. Denia and Hiyuki are also the new playable Resonators appearing in this update.

Hiyuki is the sole member of the Spacetrek Collective’s Special Response Force and a sword-wielding Glacio Resonator. She arrives with her five-star sword, Frostburn. Denia, the star orch student controlled by the Fractsidus, is a fusion resonator equipped with a rectifier. Your personal five-star rectifier is an unusual teddy bear named “Forged Dwarf Star.” (Oui, she’s probably the Threnodian Resonator.) Denia is also a dual-form character, meaning players can switch between her forms in battle.

Hiyuki will be available in the first Convene of this version, along with iterations of Mornye and Iuno. In the second Convene, players can roll dice on Denia, Chisa and Phrolova.

Ici aussi, the version is divided into two segments. Le premier, releasing on April 30, includes the main quest III section “Wishes in the Bell” and the main quest chapter III, act V “Starlights from Yesterdays.” The first revolves around the confrontation between Hiyuki and the Fractsidus. In the second case, Rover takes control of the Exostrider to get through the Strider Gate. After completing Act V, players will receive the Lahai Roi Frequency Cassette Recorder as a skin for their terminals.

The second half of the update, main quest Chapter III section “Beneath a Melting Night Sky,” will be released on May 21st. She focuses on Denia and her involvement in the Fractsidus.

The version update introduces a new area called “Dimmr Plains” to the game. This area lies beneath Bjartr Woods and is connected via the Solistrees. It is full of threnodic power and frequent void storms. Players will also find the Strider Gate there. Similar to rebuilding the streets of Lahai-Roi, players must complete a restoration project here. This requires you to repair the Dimmr Plains environment. Of course there will be rewards including a new bike livery and Astrite.

Speaking of bike liveries, Kuro announced a collaborative event called “Crossworld Synch” where players can earn around eight new themed paint jobs for their bikes. These include collaborations with Kaiju No.8, Angry Birds, Resident Evil (on their 30th anniversary), Pragmata, Riders Republic and Kaikyu. The event will be divided into two phases.

In other bike news, we’re getting wings. Players can now fly. Even though it looks like there will still be endurance limitations, our bikes are becoming more and more mobile. This also means that we face new challenges that we can take on to earn even more rewards.

Enfin, this update is also the 2nd anniversary update. This means that the developers have announced events and rewards to celebrate. The Cubes are back with Cubie Derby: Championship. A new arcade game event, Star Bounce, puts Resonators in the role of some pretty brutal pinball machines in a pinball machine. Lollo Logistics has more errands with new tasks for us every week.

Players can also expect to receive 10 Radiant Tides and 10 Crystal Solvents via the Gifts of Grand Celebration event page following the update. On the actual anniversary day, May 23rd, 10 additional Radiant Tides and a second anniversary avatar will be available via the same event page.

There is also Coming of Solaris: Collab Season 2, which rewards players for participating in the other anniversary events with Anniversary Coins, which are required to unlock rewards. These include 10 Forging Tides, 10 Lustrous Tides and the 2nd Anniversary Seal. Players can also earn an Anniversary Bike Livery and Outfit Accessory for Aemeath.
