When Where Winds Meet’s Version 1.8 update arrives on June 25, it will bring with it the Homesteading system, which will return players to the home they escaped from at the start of the game and give them the opportunity to rebuild it. Players recruit villagers as farm workers, build inns, rebuild existing buildings, farm, and brew wine… because Blissful Retreat is known for wine.
Not only do players restore their homes by completing Homestead activities – although that should be reason enough, they also receive special currency that they can use to collect rewards in the Homestead Shop. This also includes a new outfit.
Additionally, there will be a new creative feature coming in July that will allow players to customize their homes and share them with other players. This feature will be discontinued in July.
The update also introduces pets to the free-to-play action RPG, specifically cats and geese. These animals react to weather changes and world events and even allow players to dress them up. They may also be available for combat use at a later date.
