Global MapleStory’s first summer update of 2026 is scheduled to release on June 17th. When it launches, it will introduce Erel Light, the free-to-play MMORPG’s second SHINE class, armed with a Spear of Light and able to summon guardians to aid them in battle. Erel can chain his attacks with his Guardians to perform situational combos and coordinated attacks.

Erel’s arrival will continue the ongoing story of the SHINE classes.

For those who don’t mind revealing the story to themselves before the update comes out, there is an option to do so Sign in for the public test server is available. Participants can view the Summer Update from June 4th to 9th. Be sure to register before May 26th.
